Level of Qualification/Skill Level
Level 3 learning would include:
- Knowledge of the relationship between theory/principles and practice in the context of your existing or future role
- A planned approach to reading and research relating to principles, theories and practice
- Consideration of how professional values impact on working in your area
- Evidence of a reflective approach
- Reflection on own practice grounded upon reading
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, you will:

- Know how to assess and reduce risks in conflict situations
- Know how to communicate effectively and de-escalate conflict in emotive situations

- Be able to plan and design scenario-based conflict management training

Prerequisites/Before the course
This is a requirement for licensing for all security operatives who interface with the general public. Trainers who deliver Conflict Management training for the qualifications for Licensing will be required to hold an SIA endorsed and accredited qualification in the delivery of scenario-based Conflict Management. You must be a minimum of 19 years old and you should have:- Good reading & writing skills in English
- A formal recognised teaching/training or learning/instruction qualification like the Level 3 PTLLS or Level 3 AET or above - you would be allowed to enrol for this course if you have embarked on one such qualification
- A lot of ‘Patience’ (This is an intensive course!)
- Knowledge and working experience of the relevant industry or sector as appropriate
- Filled up ‘Application Form’

A photographic proof of identification [Any 1 of the following]
- Valid Passport with VISA (any nationality)
- Signed UK Photo Card Driving Licence
- Valid Warrant Card issued by HM Forces or Police
- Other photographic ID card, e.g. Employee ID Card (must be current employer), Student ID Card, Travel card, etc.
Awarding Organisation
- An OFQUAL approved nationally recognised Awarding Organisation (e.g. HABC or TQUK)
Certificate Title
- Level 3 Deliverers of Conflict Management Training (There is no mention of the mode of study on the certificate - People get the same certificate whether they attend the class based course or the online course)
Possible Results
- Theory Assignment & Micro-teaching session: PASS / REFER - You cannot fail the course!!! (If there is anything that needs amendments on your theory assignments, the assessor would give you action points with guidance on how to achieve them in the next go!
- Multiple-Choice Test: PASS / FAIL - You can either PASS or FAIL the multiple-choice test. We give you enough practice before you sit the actual test, however, the result completely depends on your performance in the test. We do have a paid resit option if you fail the test.
Once you are done with your theory assignments, the practical micro-teach session observation & the multiple-choice test, you would be more than ready to be certificated!!!

Assessments

This qualification is assessed through:
- a multiple-choice examination - Learners must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30 to pass
- a portfolio of evidence
- Planning & delivery of a 15-30 minutes’ micro-teaching session (Practical Assessment) - The practical micro-teaching session can be done on any topic of your choice from the Conflict Management Course. There should be an integrated role-play in the session.
